This is a draft of the poster for my film. I've decided to keep it really simple by only including the title of the film linked with the tagline, "once you're in there's no escape". This is because I want my audience to be intrigued by the poster because of the lack of other wording or imagery. From analysing film posters I found out they will usually include the credits and mentioning of producers from other films. However, with my poster I want to keep it as minimal as possible so the audience are only focused on the tagline, title and the imagery.
The person in the poster juxtaposes with the villain in my film - in the film the face of the villain is never seen (except the eyes).
I've used the colours of only black and white to stick to the conventions of gothic horror which typically uses these colours to represent the supernatural or the paranormal. In addition, the colours connote the feeling of loneliness.
